June 08, 2010 - Larry
Hi Ken, I note that the FCC has licensed a station on May 19, 2010 in Estes Park Colorado with the call sign KENC. Will you be changing your station's means of identification to avoid confusion that would arise? It is nice to hear your station on the air. Best wishes. Larry from Indiana.
Larry, thanks for the note. We are still waiting on the FCC letter to us from both their legal and OET offices. I was sure that the call letters would be an issue and now I'm postitive it will be. We have another call set to go that is neither K or W and I'm thinking we'll use a juxtaposistion of my wife's name Jan and mine Ken and go with JENC but will run it up the FCC's muster pole first. No big deal, but a lot of effort to make the change. But whatever it takes... Kenc

Ken:br / br / I have KENC on every day at work. I enjoy the bluegrass segments but am getting a greater appreciation for the older country classics. Keep up the good work.br / br / Keith

Hi, Ken,
I heard about your radio station after reading about the problems you've
had with the Federal Communications Commision in Popular Communications. (I
read the braille edition of that magazine.)
They included the link to your website, so the next time I got online, I
checked it out.
First, I'd like to compliment you on how acdcessible your site is for a
blind perfson. Secondly, I really like the feel of your station. I generally
listne around 9 P.M. Mountain time.
Tonight, i checked out your section "Press Releases from Ken".
I wholehartedly agree with your views that low power stations should have
many, many fewer restrictions imposed upon them than they currently do.
By way of a little further introduction, I've spent much of my working life
in radio - most of that time as a news director.
Keep up the good work, glad I found your site.
Best regards,
W. Kent McGregor,
